"Beautiful: The Carole King Musical" Original Cast Recording Wins Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album

The Original Broadway Cast Recording of 'Beautiful: The Carole King Musical' won the Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards.  

Like the musical, the Cast Recording of Beautiful features a stunning array of beloved songs written by Gerry Goffin/Carole King and Barry Mann/Cynthia Weil, including ""You've Got a Friend," "One Fine Day," (You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman," "On Broadway," "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling," and many more. 

The album is produced by Jason Howland, Steve Sidwell and Billy Jay Stein, with Kurt Deutsch serving as Executive Producer.

The Original Broadway Cast Recording of 'Beautiful: The Carole King Musical' debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top Broadway Albums Chart and came in at #60 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart; an album debut that only The Book of Mormon and Kinky Boots have achieved in the last few years.

The 57th GRAMMY AWARDS took place live on Sunday, Feb, 8, 2015, at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles and was broadcast in high-definition TV and 5.1 surround sound on the CBS Television Network from 8 - 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT).

'Beautiful: The Carole King Musical" is the proud recipent of two 2014 Tony Awards.  Jessie Mueller received the 2014 Tony Award for the Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical.  Brian Ronan received the 2014 Tony Award for Best Sound Design of a Musical.
