An Evening of SeriousFun Celebrating the Legacy of Paul Newman, could not keep the kids from stealing the show despite an impressive lineup of celebrity performers, including long-time supporter, Carole King.  The star-studded event was held on May 14th at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles and benefits The Painted Turtle, the late actor's foundation and celebrates his legacy in what would be his 90th year.

This one-night event was jam-packed with performances including Jamie Foxx, Natalie Cole,  and Jay Leno and appearances from big name celebrities like Danny DeVito, Annette Bening, Renee Zellweger and more.

SeriousFun CEO Mary Beth Powers emphasized that with 30 camps worldwide, the camps are a global effort. Her mission for events like the Los Angeles gala is “to get people to realize there are kids all over the world who are in need of just the chance to be a kid again.”

The evening concluded with campers and celebrities joining together on stage as Carole King closed the night with "You've Got A Friend". It was an undeniably fun evening to benefit a seriously worthy cause.

The show was co-produced by Lou Adler (pictured with Carole) who, along with his wife Page, co-founded the SeriousFun camp located in Southern California.  The Los Angeles gala was the second of three this year; one already took place in New York with George Clooney and Meryl Streep, and another will occur in London in November.
