Carole King Appears on Tribute DVD to Benefit MusiCares
LOS ANGELES, CA - All-star performers including Carole King, Sting, Bruce Springsteen, The Dixie Chicks, Bonnie Raitt and many more gathered in Los Angeles on February 8, 2006 to honor James Taylor as MusiCares' "Person of the Year." At this concert, Carole King performed a song that she wrote, "You've Got a Friend," which was a hit for both her and Taylor.
This very special night was filmed and was released on DVD on Tuesday, October 3, 2006. The net proceeds from the sale and distribution of this DVD will benefit MusiCares' health and human service and addiction recovery programs for music people in times of crisis.
"A MusiCares Person of the Year Tribute Honoring James Taylor" became available on October 3rd. The concert aired on PBS November 29, 2006.
