'Troubadours' Hits the Theaters!

The highly-acclaimed documentary Troubadours: The Rise of the Singer-Songwriter has been released to a select number of theaters across the U.S. in January, February and March of 2011.

Directed Morgan Neville and produced by Eddie Schmidt of Tremolo Productions, and released by Concord Music Group, the film is fresh from its highly-acclaimed reception at The Sundance Film Festival. It has been hailed by critics in the LA Times, Variety, The Globe (the Salt Lake Community College newspaper), USA Today, and the Wall Street Journal, alike.

The documentary chronicles the California singer/songwriter movement in the '70's, and features Carole King and James Taylor, among other artists and musicians in their heyday at that time, including Jackson Browne, Joni Mitchell, Bonnie Raitt, David Crosby, Roger McGuinn, Danny Kortchmar, Leland Sklar, Russell Kunkel, and many more. The film sets the story around the famed Hollywood club, The Troubadour, tracing its involvement in connecting - and launching the careers of - many of the legendary artists we know today.
