King and Daughter Sherry Goffin Kondor at 'Hole in the Wall Gang' Came Benefit

ASHFORD, CONNECTICUT - Taking center stage at the Hole In The Wall Gang Camp's "Fandango XI" were Carole King and daughter Sherry Goffin Kondor. The two played "orphans" in a parody skit of the Broadway musical, Annie, featuring Paul Newman in the title role. (No, Virginia, that's not a misprint. Paul played "Annie," red dress and all.) Carole also sang the title song from her latest album, Love Makes the World, accompanied by daughter Sherry; her musical director and guitarist, Rudy Guess; and a stellar house band led by Audrey Terry.

The annual fundraiser, produced by Kevin Duncan and A.E. Hotchner, benefits Ashford, Connecticut's Hole In The Wall Gang Camp, a retreat for children with cancer or serious blood diseases. The program was directed by Tony Award winning actor, Jim Naughton. Others on the bill included Joanne Woodward, Tony Randall, Gregory Hines, Grammy & Oscar Award winning violinist Joshua Bell (The Red Violin), Louisiana trumpet player Terrence Blanchard and Robin Batteau. Michael J. Fox hosted the event.
