Carole King and Louise Goffin Featured in GAP's 'My First Love' Fall Ad Campaign
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA - Carole King and her daughter, Louise Goffin, appeared together in Gap's "My First Love" fall ad campaign. Louise opened the spot singing her mother's classic, "So Far Away," then Carole sang "Love Makes The World" from her new album of the same title.
The international spot began airing September 9, 2001 and ran continuously during the U.S. Fall Preview season on shows including: Ally McBeal, Frasier, NYPD Blue, Drew Carey, The West Wing, Gilmore girls, Will & Grace, ER, Access Hollywood and Thieves. Paul Hunter, whose work includes music videos such as "Lady Marmalade" from the film Moulin Rouge, and commercials including Nike's "Freestyle" spots, directed the campaign.
Louise Goffin's album, Sometimes A Circle, on Dreamworks, was released in February 2002.
